I prefer it to claude code for day-to-day coding tasks.

I agree Claude is amazing though… it has helped me solve some obscure coding issues.

But I find for general development tasks, the code it produces is maybe 50-80% what I need, so I need to go in and edit/add to the code after. But I find editing code to be easier than writing it, so that’s nice.

But if I can give it incredibly focused tasks that don’t require a ton of context, it tends to knock it out of the park.

TYNAN! You definitely nailed BTC. You’re good at finding good stuff early. Do you still think crypto has a future, or it descends whilst AI rises, and are you still as convicted on ETH?

Does everything. Does not get in the way. Yea. True.

He probably tried vibe coding SETT too, and just made it a big buggy mess.

How do I check for cruises that involve a specified port?

Try Claude Code. I think it’s MUCH better. I was previously using Cursor and like it but wasn’t enamored.

Also… you can just look at the results on CruiseSheet. Check where it was ~5 weeks ago on wayback machine vs now.

Mostly I have been using Cursor with Claude 3.7 and 4.0. I still have to try the CLI-based tools, though I don’t think they will make too much of a difference.

To be clear, I do agree that it’s a massive boost, and it’ll keep getting better. I just thought your post was too optimistic, at least for today’s capabilities, and I wanted to push back a little :).

Have you used Claude Code with Opus 4.0? I think it’s MUCH better than anything else. I’ve wasted time on things too, but overall it’s such a massive boost.
