I actually did set it to the correct time zone first. From some rooms I could sometimes get it to sync, but it was very flaky. The GPS works perfectly every time.

They weren’t deleted… I think it’s a caching thing. Working on it.

I have a very nice 8B63 watch, SBXY007, which I like very much and was under $600. The only limitation is that, unlike the newest gps dual time watches, you can’t switch the times on the main and sub-dials at the push of a button– which is a handy feature when you are traveling.

I also have a Citizen satellite wave that I love, a green CC3064-01X, but it doesn’t have a sub-dial. Also under $600.

I am tempted by the new Seiko movements, but agree that most of them are ugly. I do like several of the newest models that have a porthole date window, as opposed to the off-kilter square windows, which are not to my taste. I don’t need a chronometer, however, so that limits my choices for now.

So if, for example, you were in England, and the watch was set on local time, it would pick up the English atomic clock signal. But when you return to LV, it would still be looking for the English clock signal, not the American clock signal, which is on a different frequency. So you would have to set your watch to Nevada’s time zone before it would pick up the US atomic clock signal.
