I hope so… I switched from WP Multi Site to single and it caused all sorts of problems.

i’d check out the bibimbop at en hakkore. there is also a lot of really really good mexican food. la pasadita, carbon, taqueria el asadero, l’ patron, further but my fave La Chaparrita.

i’ve never had pequods tho. it was either lou malnatis or art of pizza for me.

Have spent a good amount of time in the city. I agree about this city being underrated. Some things I enjoy in Chicago:

Walking the 606 – similar to the highline in NYC
Piece Pizza – New Haven style, one of my favorites in the city
Pizzeria portofino – mussels and pizza sitting next to the river, river walk before or after
Lincoln Park Zoo – really pretty place to walk around and free
Trivoli Tavern – Down a cobblestone alley, speakeasy type vibe. Love the bone marrow pot pie and pasta ala vodka. I hear the burger is also very good.
Twin Anchors – classic chicago vibe, comfort food. I suggest the ribs.

Sailing, kayaking, pretty solid poker scene. Good comedy, art, some solid tea places, you should enjoy it, especially with optionality around winter.

Old Town Ale House. Ditto, boat tour for architecture. Billy Goat (original) — see SNL skit. Family that bought the Cubs bought some of these places that would otherwise be out of business, to preserve some tradition. I think that’s a great model. Bonci (near Cheval) but maybe just nostalgic for the original.

Hmm.Chicago’s cultural scene—museums, intellectual communities, vibrant neighborhoods—is truly underrated. the issue is: I’m concerned by the surging taxes tied to massive, underfunded pensions. Powerful unions run the city; but they make NYC look well run…BtW thoughts on Honolulu for living? Is it Overplayed?

There is a ton of live music, great art galleries and museums. The architecture is great. The lake is a treasure. It is also easy to get around.

Chicago is great. I’ve lived there for about 18 years now. Only thinking about moving somewhere else (or splitting time) due to the desire to be closer to mountains.

I’ve got recommendations, but it depends on what you’re looking for. I’ve been living here for more than 10 years. (Feel free to email me)

Also, if you want to meet up for tea.. let me know. I brought back some Alishan high mountain oolong.
